City Highlights

  • Notice is hereby given that the first of two public hearings will be held by the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas in the City Hall located at 215 E. McKinney Street, Denton, Texas, at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, for the purpose of considering the voluntary annexation into the city limits
  • Phase 1 of the project for the sewer line construction from Locust St. to Bell Ave., which began in December, is complete. As part of Phase 2 of the project, the Water Division has been replacing the water utility lines, and Denton Municipal Electric (DME) has been replacing electric lines between Locust St. and Railroad Ave.
  • Water. We need it, and our lawns and plants need it. If we make good habits, we can use water to sustain our plants and promote healthy growth while conserving supplies for the future.
  • The City of Denton has awarded the E. Hickory Street CIP project to a local contractor, Jagoe Public Co. Phase One of the project began Monday, June 23!
