Hotel Occupancy Tax

The city’s hotels, motels and bed and breakfasts collect a total of thirteen percent occupancy tax for each nights stay. Each property provides the state with six percent and the city with seven percent of the collected taxes. The city uses this special revenue to promote tourism and the hotel and convention industry within the city.
