Summer jobs are an excellent opportunity to earn money and have fun at the same time! Parks and Recreation hires approximately 400 summer staff annually to successfully run the many programs offered throughout the season. Be sure to come by one of our Seasonal Hiring Events to learn more!

Seasonal Hiring Events

The 2024 seasonal hiring events are coming soon.  If you are interested in a seasonal job with the Parks department, visit our online job postings and apply digitally.  Below is the upcoming hiring event information:

      • Saturday, March 16th – 9:00am – 12:00pm
      • Thursday, March 28th – 4:00pm – 7:00pm
      • Tuesday, April 9th – 4:00pm – 7:00pm
      • Thursday, April 18th – 4:00pm – 7:00pm

What To Bring

Be sure to bring the following items to the Seasonal Hiring Event:

  • Driver's License and Social Security Card for I9 purposes. Please note, these must be the original documents (copies will not be accepted).
  • Voided check or bank statement showing the account information to set up your Direct Deposit.

Parents must accompany minors onsite.

  2. If selected to move forward in the process, the Hiring Manager will reach out to schedule an interview.
  3. If the Hiring Manager offers you a job, and you accept, you will be assigned paperwork as tasks through our online Onboarding system. Additional requirements, such as a physical, may be required for certain positions. Human Resources will help guide you through the process. 
  4. Meet with Human Resources to complete your I9 verification and any outstanding tasks before your scheduled start date.
