Historic Resource Surveys

Since the City’s historic preservation program formal beginning in 1985, the City of Denton has completed an assortment of historic resource surveys and studies. Historic property owners and anyone else interested in the historic preservation, history and or architecture may find these studies and surveys to be of interest.

In addition to our survey documents, the Denton Historic Resource Survey map provides those historic resources that were identified as eligible in the City-Wide Historic Resource Survey from 1995 through 1996, and those eligible properties from the 2012 Bolivar Neighborhood Survey and 2015 Idiot’s Hill Neighborhood Survey. The intent of this map is to raise awareness about historic preservation and to share those properties of historic value in Denton
