COVID-19 Relief Resources

The City of Denton strongly encourages all utility customers with past due balances to contact Utility Customer Service to avoid a service interruption.

Options for Past Due Balances Due to COVID-19

Based on a resident's needs, representatives can provide options to help them better manage outstanding balances. Some of these options include:

  • Setting up a payment plan to allow additional time to pay
  • Enrolling in an alternative payment program, Pay-As-You-Go
  • Receiving an emergency referral for utility assistance to prevent interruption

All customers at risk of service interruption will receive phone and mail notifications from the City. Any customer receiving these notifications should call the Utilities Customer Service as soon as possible.

United Way COVID-19 Relief & Recovery Fund

If you are having trouble paying your bills or are in danger of eviction or foreclosure due to income loss as a result of COVID-19, you may be eligible for rental, utility or mortgage assistance through the United Way of Denton County COVID-19 Relief and Recovery Fund.
