Construction Trailer

Construction trailers require a Temporary Use Application. Leasing offices or sales trailers are considered Commercial Alterations and shall meet the requirements for a public building.

Submittal Requirements

Plan Submittal

Plans may be submitted online electronically through eTRAKiT or delivered in person to the Development Services at 401 N Elm Street with a set of paper plans containing the following:

  • Site plan
  • Floor plan
  • Connection for water
  • Sewer
  • Electrical plans or specify generator and holding tanks

Inspections Required

  • Plumbing underground
  • Electrical underground
  • T-Pole Inspection

Fees

  • $287
  • $48 for T-pole, if applicable

Temporary Batch Plants

Temporary concrete batching plants (including associated stationary equipment and stockpiles) shall be located at least three hundred (300) feet from any recreational area, school, residence or other structure not occupied or used solely by the owner of the property upon which the facility is located. This distance limitation does not apply to structures within the boundaries of the project for which the facility is to pour concrete, provided that the facility is located on or contiguous to the project.

Submit the following documents through the eTRAKiT Portal:

  1. Temporary Use Application
  2. Site Plan
  3. Tree Protection Plan
  4. Erosion Control Plan
  5. SWPPP
  6. If wastewater (non-storm water) is generated, then a TCEQ permit for discharge will be required.  Submit a copy of TXR110000 authorization.
