City Block Party
Thursday, Sept. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The City of Denton is thrilled to announce an exciting family-friendly event, the City Block Party, that will bring the community together for a night of fun and engagement with City officials and staff. Join us Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Denton Civic Center and Quakertown Park, located at 321 E. McKinney St., for an occasion that combines the best of two much-loved fall events: the National Night Out Kickoff and the State of the City.
This event is the perfect opportunity for Denton residents of all ages to come out and connect with the individuals who serve our community. Meet and greet local officials and staff, including police officers, firefighters, City staff, and Council members. It's a unique opportunity to ask questions, learn more about City services, and discover what exciting developments are in store for the community.
The evening promises a wide array of activities and attractions to entertain and inform attendees. Numerous City departments will host booths filled with valuable information, interactive games, and giveaway items. Whether you're interested in public safety, community development, parks and recreation, or any other facet of our city, there will be something for everyone.
Children and families will have a blast with bounce houses, lawn games, and the opportunity to get up close and personal with our city vehicles at the popular "touch-a-truck" exhibit. For those seeking a bit of friendly competition, a dunk tank will be on-site, offering a chance to dunk some familiar faces from our community. Additionally, food trucks will be available and serving up tasty bites for attendees to purchase.
