Denton's Community Shelter

Denton's Community Shelter, Operated by Our Daily Bread

In support of increasing capacity in the system response and expanding public assistance resources, the City acquired the property at 909 N. Loop 288 for developing a co-located day center and overnight shelter providing services to people experiencing homelessness or at-risk of experiencing homelessness.

The Loop 288 facility is the newest tool in our City’s Housing Crisis Response System. Our City’s Community Services team, along with other City departments, and Our Daily Bread (ODB), have poured immense energy into the project.

ODB was selected by the City of Denton to manage, operate, and provide services at the Loop 288 facility. ODB, in collaboration with other local service providers, will utilize this new facility to provide supportive services, food security, and temporary housing to people at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness.
