Over the past few months, Keep Denton Beautiful collected thin film plastics from residents to recycle and now our community has won a high-performance park bench. Our collections at City facilities has ended. Even though the collection is over, you can still do your part by reducing your use of single use plastics, reusing the bags you do use, and recycling them at local grocery stores.
Below are a few tips on how you can help from home.
- Make sure your items are recyclable (No. 2 and 4, stretchy plastic)
- Make sure your items are clean and dry
- Remove all labels and stickers
- Make sure all receipts and food debris have been removed from plastic
