Recognizing that women have specific needs when it comes to health and wellness, National Women's Health and Fitness Day was established in 2002 and is celebrated every year on the last Wednesday of September. This year we will celebrate on September 28. National Women’s Health and Fitness Day shines a spotlight reminding women to take time to focus on their health.
Ways you can focus on your health would be scheduling your yearly Well Woman Exam or picking up a new health or fitness activity. Denton Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of programs and workshops for Health and Wellness including but not limited to group exercise classes, nature walks, fitness assessments, and a variety of wellness workshops. Stop by one of City of Denton Parks and Recreation centers to grab a free week pass and join us for a group exercise class on September 28.
