[ARCHIVED] Library’s Winter Reading Resolution Underway

A Collage of images showing the exterior of libraries and people inside a library with books

Make reading your new routine in 2023. Reading can strengthen your brain, reduce stress, cultivate empathy skills, and expand your vocabulary. The Winter Reading Resolution program helps participants start the year off with a commitment to reading. It encourages people of all ages to make reading a habit, challenge themselves to meet a personal reading goal, and be part of a reading community and get rewarded for the effort. Reading is the perfect cozy winter activity for seniors, adults, teens, and children. Reminder: babies and pre-readers who have books read to them can participate too!

The library’s winter reading program is open to all ages. Anyone can sign up for the Winter Reading Resolution and track how many books they read between Jan. 1 to Feb. 28, 2023. Participants track what books they read online, earn virtual badges, and will be entered into a drawing for fun library prizes if they log at least three books.

Make a new reading resolution and read this winter. The Winter Reading Resolution runs from Jan. 1 through Feb. 28. Learn more and register online at denton.readsquared.com.
