[ARCHIVED] Celebrate Women's History Month with Denton Public Library

DENTON, TX, March 1, 2023

In honor of Women’s History Month in March, Denton Public Library’s South Branch (3228 Teasley Ln.) is hosting a month-long exhibit titled “Rural Texas Women at Work 1930-1960.”

The exhibit uses photographs and text to convey a sense of the lives or rural Texas women. Along with the exhibit, South Branch Library will host supporting programs throughout the month.

The exhibit programs will be geared toward all ages. Program topics range from life in rural Texas, hands on demonstrations and activities that educate patrons about rural cooking, crafts, and livelihood.

The “Rural Texas Women at Work-1930-1960” exhibit and supporting programs are made possible by a $600 grant from Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
