[ARCHIVED] Denton celebrates Adopt-A-Cat Month®

Adopt a Cat at Shelter

June is Adopt-A-Cat Month® because it's the peak of "kitten season." During this time, large litters of kittens inundate animal shelters that require our help. Around the world, thousands of newborn kittens join the millions of cats already in shelters, and it threatens their chances of finding their forever homes.

The City of Denton encourages animal lovers to visit the Linda McNatt Animal Care and Adoption Center this month. It's a great opportunity to learn more about our Animal Services department and celebrate Adopt-A-Cat Month®.

Adopting a cat is a win-win situation. You give a cat a second chance at life and provide them with a loving home, and in return, you get a furry companion who will bring you joy and companionship.

To see pets available for adoption, visit Denton's 24Petconnect page.
