Internal Audit has released a new follow-up report covering operational changes made in response to the Audit of Utility Street Cuts (PDF) and previously reviewed in the initial Follow-Up Review of Utility Street Cuts (PDF).
Updates to the Right-of-Way Construction Management Ordinance as well as the implementation of an automated right-of-way permit management solution have provided needed changes to the permit management process and documentation improvements. In addition, updates to the City's Construction Specifications and improvements to right-of-way inspection processes help further ensure quality; however, backfill material standard changes have still not been formalized.
Additional details can be found in the full Second Follow-Up Review of Utility Street Cuts Audit (PDF) report.
