Internal Audit has released a new follow-up report covering operational changes made in response to the Audit of Water System Operations: Rate Structure (PDF), Audit of Water System Operations: Distribution (PDF), and Audit of Water System Operations: Production (PDF).

The City has adjusted its water rate structures to try to more effectively influence water demand. New demand reduction incentives are being considered, though bill information has not been changed. Water distribution and production work order documentation has generally improved. Small water line replacement projects will no longer be performed in-house. Chemical deliveries are now being reconciled and a City-wide safety manual has been adopted that includes information relevant to Water Utilities.

Additional details can be found in the full Follow-Up Review of the Audit of Audit of Water System Operations: Rate Structure, Distribution, and Production (PDF) report.
