Biography
Vicki Byrd was elected to the District 1 position in May 2021 and is serving her first term. Vicki Byrd is a long term resident of Denton as her education began in 1983 as a student at Texas Woman's University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Psychology and culminating a Master of Education, Teacher Leadership degree at the University of Phoenix. She is a former Law Enforcement Officer, Risk Management Associate, and a Special Education Teacher. She retired with the State of Texas after 31 years of service in 2018.
