In addition to routine cleaning services of the downtown area, ambassadors will assist with, among other things: graffiti removal, handbill and sticker removal, driving/walking directions, recommendations of things to see and do, public interaction and engagement, answering questions, providing safety escorts, reporting unwanted and illegal activities, and much more.
Cleaning ambassadors will be on site and on call seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Hospitality ambassadors will be on site and on call seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Yes. The ambassadors will provide assistance and services free of charge when on duty.
Ambassadors will wear easily identifiable bright red uniform attire branded with "Downtown Denton Ambassador" in white lettering.
Ambassadors will not respond to emergency calls, but they can assist with making emergency calls and will work closely with the Denton Police Department and Homeless Outreach Team. If you experience an emergency, dial 9-1-1 for assistance.

Formed in 2002, Block by Block is a third-party vendor who provides safety, cleaning, landscaping, hospitality, and outreach solutions for more than 140 improvement districts, parks, transit systems, and community organizations. In coordination with the City's Community Services Department, Block by Block will manage the Downtown Denton Ambassador Program.

Yes. In addition to a team lead and operations manager, there will be ambassadors designated for cleaning and for hospitality & safety.
