Trash & Recycling

The Solid Waste and Recycling Department offers a variety of sizes and styles of containers including open-top and compacted roll-off containers for trash and recycling bins. Every owner, occupant, tenant, or lessee of any building, or structure must have adequate solid waste containers on the premises with a minimum once a week collection.

  • How to contact us, and how to request service
  • Trash pickup schedule

The frequency of trash collection has a minimum of one time per week with up to six times a week service, Monday through Saturday. No Sundays. Bag your trash: Bagging trash helps to prevent litter during collection and transport, and protects your container, and reduces blowing litter at the Landfill.

    • Service Level Adjustments: To adjust container sizes and/or frequency of collection, call Customer Service, fees may apply.
    • Same Day Service: Available for any container called in before 11 a.m., a $50 fee will apply. To avoid the same day fee, call Customer Service one day prior to schedule the collection.
    • Extra empties: Available for regularly scheduled containers; fees will apply based on container size.
    • Temporary Services: Dumpsters and roll-off containers are available on a demand response (call-in) basis. Example: Shipment generating a large volume of cardboard to be recycled.
  • Trash and recycling for construction and demolition materials

We offer source-separated (sorted) recycling collection of construction and demolition materials at reduced material rates. If you have a very small business with very low volumes of recyclables, we encourage your business to utilize one of the City Recycling Drop-off Centers. If your business is being remodeled or renovated, or is a new construction, the City offers Construction and Demolition waste and recycling services.
