    North Lakes Recreation Center and Annex Denton













    North Lakes is a 17,417-square-foot facility with a cardio room, weight room, indoor basketball/volleyball court, and three multi-purpose areas that are available for rentals. 

    Fitness Membership
    Includes a rec pass and access to all three rec center weight rooms and cardio rooms. Members ages 50 and older will also have access to the senior center's fitness room.

    • One month, $20
    • Three months, $40
    • One year, $120

    Group Exercise and Fitness Classes
    We offer a group exercise membership, as well as à la carte fitness classes. Learn more on our health and fitness page.

    Rec Pass
    $10 per year. Includes access to the gym, open pickleball every Tuesday and Thursday, noon-3 p.m. Fee-based activities do not require a rec pass.

    Activities and Programs
    North Lakes offers an array of fee-based programs that include martial arts, group exercise, art, and more. Learn more on our rec programs page.

    Facility Rentals
    Visit Book, Rent, or Reserve to plan a birthday party or reserve a room for a private event.

    MLK Jr. Recreation Center Denton

    MLK Jr. Rec Center is a 21,560-square-foot facility with a combined cadio-weight room, indoor basketball court, a computer room, a game room, an arts and crafts room, and a multi-purpose room adjacent to a kitchen that is available for rentals.

    Modified Hours of Operation
    Monday-Friday | 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
    Saturday from | 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

    Ages 8 and up are allowed in with a rec pass.

    Facility Rentals
    All rentals require a $100 security deposit. Depending on the number of guests, rentals may require an additional staffing fee. Alcohol is not permitted.

    Denia Recreation Center Denton














    Denia Rec Center is a 17,415-square-foot facility with a combined cadio-weight room, indoor basketball court, a game room with public computers, an indoor rock climbing wall and three multi-purpose rooms (one includes a refrigerator) that are available for rentals. The center also offers a full-time preschool licensed by the Texas Dept. Family and Protective Services.

    Fitness Membership
    Includes a rec pass and access to all three rec center weight rooms and cardio rooms. Members ages 50 and older will also have access to the senior center fitness room.

    • One month, $20
    • Three months, $40
    • One year, $120

    Rec Pass
    $10 per year. Includes access to the gym, game room pool table, ping pong, video games, and public computer.

    Denia Rec Center offers an array of fee-based programs that includes Texas Isshinryu Karate, archery, rock climbing, summer camps, and an extensive outdoor recreation program. Learn more on our rec programs page.

    Denton Senior Center Gym Denton

    Denton Senior Center is a 19,430-square-foot facility with a state-of-the-art fitness room, woodshop, game room, library, and several multipurpose rooms. The center serves as a gathering place for adults, age 50 and older, to enjoy daily SPAN lunches and fellowship, monthly socials and seminars, frequent trips, and special events.

    Programs, Classes, Activities, and MORE
    The senior center offers an array of programs that includes Zumba® Gold, Tai Chi, dance classes, outdoor recreation, ceramics, and more.

    Fitness Membership
    Includes a rec pass and access to all rec center weight rooms and cardio rooms.

    Rec Pass and Drop-in Activities
    Rec pass is $10 a year for residents and $15 a year for nonresidents.

    Span Meals, weekdays at noon - Will Be Returning Soon After Reopening. Stay tuned for details.
    Coordinated by SPAN (Special Programs for Aging Needs). Lunches may be reserved up to one week in advance but no later than noon the day before. The suggested donation is $2 for those 60 and older; individuals younger than 60 may eat for $5.

    Facility Rentals
    All rentals require a $100 security deposit, cash or money order only. We do not accept rentals extending past midnight. We provide tables and chairs, but the renter is responsible for all set-up and clean-up. For rentals ending at midnight, clean-up must be complete by 1 a.m. Alcohol is not permitted.

    American Legion Hall Denton

















    The American Legion Hall serves as a gathering place for adults, age 50 and older, to partake in daily SPAN lunches, fellowship and monthly socials, seminars, and frequent trips. Activities include sewing, exercise, table games and puzzles, and bingo.

    Hours of Operation
    Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Thursday, 6-9 p.m.
    Saturday and Sunday, closed

    Span Meals, weekdays at noon
    Balanced daily meals are coordinated by SPAN (Services for Aging Needs). Lunches may be reserved up to two days in advance but no later than noon the day before. The suggested donation is $1.50 for those 60 and older; individuals younger than 60 may eat for $3.50.

    ALH Senior Road Trips
    Senior trips are $10 per person, unless otherwise noted. Trips are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. We will enjoy a Dutch-treat lunch on day trips. To register, call (940) 349-8298. Click here for current trips.
