Zoning Districts are the way the city ensures that the physical development of land and the kinds of uses allowed on each individual parcel are consistent with the City’s vision. The City’s official Zoning Map shows the Zoning District on each parcel. Zoning regulations specify the areas where residential, commercial, industrial, or recreational activities may occur. Zoning regulations also specify standards such as minimum lot dimensions, minimum setbacks, maximum height, and lot coverage. 

As part of the DDC Update, the City is proposing a new lineup of Zoning Districts that will require that the City’s official Zoning Map be amended. The City has prepared a draft Zoning Map that consolidates, renames, eliminates, and creates new districts. Please click on the link below to access the draft Zoning Map.
 
Draft Zoning Map
Once you are viewing the map, type in your address or property ID in the search bar labeled “Type your Address here”. After you hit enter, the map will zoom in to focus on your property. When you locate your property, click on it to view the following information:
  • Property Address
  • Existing Zoning District
  • Link to a description of your existing Zoning District – Purpose and Dimensional Standards
  • Link to a table that lists what uses are currently allowed on your property
  • Draft Zoning District
  • Link to a description of the draft Zoning District – Purpose and Dimensional Standards
  • Link to a table that lists what uses are allowed on the draft Zoning of your property
  • Council District
