Online Police Reports

If you are reporting a police related incident that is an emergency, call 911. If you are reporting a police related incident that is still in progress, but not an emergency, call (940) 349-8181.

If the incident you are reporting is not an emergency and is not currently in progress, you may file a report using the Online Citizen Report System below to submit a report immediately and print a copy for free. Please confirm the following before proceeding:
  • This is not an emergency (Call 911 for emergencies).
  • The incident is not in progress.
  • The incident occurred within the Denton city limits.
  • You are not filing a report on the behalf of someone else, unless requested by that person.
  • You are not reporting a motor vehicle crash.
  • You have a valid email address.
Please make sure to turn off your pop-up blocking software before filing the report. All cases filed using the Denton Online Report System will be reviewed. Upon review, you may be contacted by an investigator if further information regarding your case is needed.

Engage Denton is a mobile and online service request system for the City of Denton, Texas. Engage Denton allows residents to identify issues and report those service requests directly to the City of Denton. Residents can upload a photo or video of the concern and mark the geographic location on a map. Each request can then be tracked for follow up. Requests may be submitted online or using a smartphone.

Please call (940) 349-7000, if you’re reporting a utilities-related incident that requires immediate attention, such as a power outage, downed electrical poles or wires, a water main break, a clogged or overflowing sewer main, or a leaking water meter or hydrant.
