TRAFFIC ALERT: Upcoming Intersection Improvements on Windsor Drive

9/20/2019 12:00:00 AM

The City’s Traffic Department will be completing several improvement projects next week to improve intersections and safety near Strickland Middle School.

Beginning at 9 A.M. until 12 P.M., Tuesday, September 24, crews will be installing stop signs on Windsor Drive, all way signs on Bell Avenue, and removing the LED flashing crosswalk signs. To allow crews to safely complete the improvements, motorists traveling on Windsor Drive from Locust Street to Stuart Street should expect intermittent lane shifts and brief traffic delays. Signage will be posted to alert motorists of the temporary construction.

Beginning Wednesday, September 25, crews will be installing a pedestrian median, signage, and new bases for LED equipment at the pedestrian mid-block crossing at the intersection of Windsor Drive and Inglewood Street. Crews will be completing work in the median and there are no planned lane closures. Motorists are reminded to use caution when traveling in the area and adhere to all posted signage.
