The City of Denton will hold an informational meeting on Thursday, May 2 regarding the Oak-Hickory Historic District. The public meeting will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at The Village Church, Room 250, 1106 W. Oak Street, Denton, TX 76201.
The purpose of the public meeting is to provide an opportunity for the community to share input and discuss with staff and representatives from the City of Denton and University of North Texas (UNT):
- Parking, laws, and enforcement in the Oak-Hickory Historical District and surrounds area
- Modifications to the striping and traffic patterns to improve safety and parking
- Specific concerns regarding the alley that connects W. Oak Street and W. Hickory Street
- Communication methods and processes for future plans and next steps
