The City of Denton Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Dec. 13, and consider a request by Amanda Austin to rezone approximately 4 acres from a Neighborhood Residential 3 (NR-3) District to a Neighborhood Residential Mixed-Use 12 (NRMU-12) District. Following the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting, the City of Denton City Council will hold a public hearing and consider adoption of an ordinance on Tuesday, Feb. 6, regarding the proposed zoning change request. The Planning and Zoning Commission may recommend, and City Council may approve, any zoning district which is equivalent to or more restrictive than that which is requested and which is deemed consistent with Denton Plan 2030.
The property is generally located on the north side of Mingo Road, approximately 150 feet southwest of Boyd Street in the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas.

Any citizen or group of citizens interested in attending the public hearing is invited to do so. If you attend, you will be given an opportunity to speak for or against the change, or you may attend only to observe. Applicants and their agents are expected to attend.
Properties within 200 feet of the subject property were notified of the request pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code. In addition, as a courtesy, the City of Denton also sends notification to all physical addresses within a 500-foot radius of the subject property.
