Gov. Greg Abbott has proclaimed the week of May 20-24 as Flood Awareness Week in Texas. The City of Denton wants all residents and visitors to remember to “Turn Around, Don’t Drown” when faced with flooding and flash flooding.

City of Denton and UNT Partner to Conduct Full-Scale Disaster Exercise on Friday, May 3

The City of Denton and the University of North Texas (UNT) are collaborating to conduct a full-scale disaster exercise on Friday, May 3, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at UNT Apogee Stadium and Discovery Park.

Notice of Public Information Meeting for Oak-Hickory Historic District

The City of Denton will hold an informational meeting on Thursday, May 2 regarding the Oak-Hickory Historic District. The public meeting will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at The Village Church, Room 250, 1106 W. Oak Street, Denton, TX 76201.
