  • Emily Fowler Central Library
  • Local History and Genealogy
    The Special Collections department is located in the historic Emily Fowler Central Library and is open during regular library hours. Included in these collections are more than 10,000 books, family histories, microforms, scrapbooks, yearbooks, city directories, photographs, maps, and oral histories that focus on local and state history, and genealogy.
    Online resources, historic birth, death, cemetery, marriage information and more are available here.

  • North Branch Library

    Drive-Up Service Window
    The North Branch Library provides a drive-up service window for current Denton Public Library card holders to pick up requested library materials, make account inquiries, and to pay fines and fees. Customers will need to present their library card for pickup.
  • The Forge Makerspace
    The Forge, located at North Branch Library, is a makerspace that seeks to provide the knowledge to innovate, the space to collaborate, and the tools to help. The Forge has served Denton makers with classes, meeting space, creative software, and innovative hardware. The Forge offers resources in Electronics, Robotics, Web Design, Print Design, Digital Art, Animation, Video Editing, Coding, Small Business Solutions, and 3D Printing.
    • Mondays 1 to 9 p.m.
    • Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Fridays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    • Saturdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Secondhand Prose Used Bookstore
    • Located at North Branch Library
    • Mondays 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
    • Saturdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    • Sundays 1 to 4 p.m.
  • South Branch Library
