We welcome donations of used materials such as books, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks. Each person donating will receive a blank receipt form that can used for tax purposes. Once donated, items become the property of the Denton Public Library. Uses for donated items include:
- Given to the Friends of the Denton Public Library for resale
- Given to area charities of organizations
- Used for prizes or giveaways in library programs
- Added to collections
- Recycled
Donations are limited to 2 grocery bags or boxes not to exceed 15x14x20, per day, per household. Donations are only accepted at North Branch Library, 3020 N. Locust St. during regular open hours. For more information, contact Randy Simmans at (940) 349-8741.
The Special Collections department accepts donations of genealogy materials or print items of historical significance. Please call (940) 349-8752 and ask for the Genealogy desk to arrange a donation.
