Join us to celebrate the plants, animals, and history of Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center by attending one of our events. You can also learn more about the history and wildlife of Clear Creek at guest booths from: Texas Master Naturalist, Texas Master Gardeners, Denton County Historical Commission, KDB, and Texas Parks and Wildlife.

This community event is free and open to the public!

8-10 a.m. Texas Trees with AgriLife Water University
Adults can branch out and join us to learn tips on tree selection and
proper planting, watering, and pruning practices for native
and adaptive trees.

10:30-11:30 a.m. Arbor Day StoryTime with Denton Public Library
Join us to sing songs and read stories that celebrate trees.

11:30 a.m. - 12p.m. Tree Planting 
Be part of the heritage of Clear Creek by planting a tree with
the City of Denton’s Urban Forester, Haywood Morgan.

12 -1 p.m. Critterman: Texas Tales
Meet some animals native to Texas is this fun and informative
show for children.

1-2 p.m. Hike to the Big Tree
A Texas Master Naturalist will guide us on a hike to see some
old growth cottonwood trees in the bottomland hardwood
forest of Clear Creek.
