Kevin Roden was elected to District 1 in May 2011 and is serving his third term. He was elected Mayor Pro Tem in May 2016. Prior to his election to council, Kevin served as Chair of the Denton Historic Landmark Commission. He currently chairs the City Council’s Mobility Committee, CAPR Committee, Community Event Center Committee, and Citizen Engagement Committee, and serves as Denton’s alternate representative on the Regional Transportation Council. Kevin also chairs Mentor Denton, a collective impact initiative that aims to increase mentorship in the schools of Denton ISD. Kevin is the Vice President of Pascal Learning, an educational technology company that partners with schools and communities around the country to deepen and scale their family engagement efforts. Kevin earned a Bachelor or Arts in Political Science from the University of North Texas in 1998 and a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Dallas in 2007.
