The goal of Bike|Walk Denton is to provide safe and convenient transportation options for you to choose to walk or ride your bike to get around Denton. The program focuses not just on infrastructure, but also safety, education, and outreach to give people the proper tools to safely ride and walk.

Denton Enterprise Airport (DTO) is the premier general aviation facility for North Texas, offering a full range of aeronautic services. DTO serves a number of major companies for transportation of cargo, personnel, vendors, and prospective clients. The Airport is also the base of operations for law enforcement and search and rescue operations, including CareFlite.

Animal Services

Animal Services officers act as the local health and animal control authority within the City of Denton. Their scope of duties fall under Chapter 6 of the City of Denton Code of Ordinances as well as various Chapters of the Health and Safety Code. Services are available 24 hours a day with an on-call officer available for dispatch for emergency calls outside our normal working hours.

Building Inspections

Building Inspections monitors compliance with the City of Denton’s building codes, ordinances and amendments. The division is responsible for issuing permits, reviewing plans and performing inspections on all aspects of the building process to verify compliance with building codes. These codes are designed specifically to ensure the safety of the structure.

City Manager's Office

The City Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective implementation of Council policies and priorities throughout city government. We accomplish this responsibility by coordinating the official business of the City Council, by providing leadership and direction to the City organization, by conducting municipal and special elections, by maintaining the official records of the city, by responding to requests for information and assistance. The City Manager and staff act as liaisons among City Council, citizens and City organizations.

City Secretary's Office

The City Secretary attends and records all City Council meetings, conducts City elections, and administers oaths of office to council members and other City officials. The city secretary is the custodian of City records and coordinates public information requests.

Consumer Health

The Consumer Health Division manages the food service industry and public health issues, including public and semi-public swimming pools located within the city. The city currently hosts an ever-growing number of restaurants and food establishments. Included in this are all fixed restaurants, convenience stores, delis, grocery stores, school cafeterias, food cart vendors and mobile food units. The Consumer Health Division inspects these places for public safety and sanitation.
